Before this reset I was building like an orphan, basing my blessings on my success. I will stop comparing and stressing and measuring my worth by video views and likes. I am going to start living knowing I am His Salty Daughter. Valuable, unique and necessary.
It was like being hit with my own words, because I had to accept that whatever "hard" He's calling me to now has the exact same purpose as all those other times. So on the 4th day of this reset, which I forgot was about surrender, I'm surrendering.
Here we are, my family still not in a great financial situation, but I'm ready to do things differently with Him. God doesn't waste anything. This week has been such a breath of fresh air.
Today I am walking in as a daughter of God, because my worth, future, and business are already secured. Starting tomorrow, I am working out of joyful obedience and being God's co-worker.
Today I am walking in as a daughter of God. I am worthy. By going to Him first in my day. Not picking up my phone before my Bible. Sitting with Him before anything else.
Before the reset, I believed the outcomes were a reflection of my identity and worth. Now I know that my identity is rooted in whose I am, not in what I do. I'm walking out as a beloved daughter of the King most high, who loves me immensely.
Before this reset I believed the success of "my" business was dependent on my work ethic and drive. Now I know this is God's business and I get to enjoy the process. I'm walking out as a Daughter, not an orphan.
Hustling cost me stress, sleeplessness, and marriage tension. I believed if I hustled harder I'd earn more and finally find peace. Today I realized it was a lie. The hustle earned me burnout and despair. No money and no peace.
Before this reset, I was trying to control everything. But today, I'm surrendering the outcome. My job is to keep faithfully moving forward. God's job is to bless my efforts.
Before this reset, I believed I was the owner of my business. But today, I realized I am a steward of my business. Starting tomorrow, I'm laying down ownership.
Before this reset, I believed maybe I'm not meant to have a business anymore. But today, I realized He wants to bless what He has already given me to steward. Starting tomorrow, I'm laying down my fear.
Before this reset, I believed that if I wasn't constantly working or planning, I was falling behind. But today I realized my job isn't to control the outcome. My job is to be obedient to God and His will for me.
Before the reset, I believed late nights and early mornings were success. But today I realized teaching my daughter about God, building a profitable business, and letting God do the multiplying is the way to go.
Before this reset I was trying to control what my business was going to look like. But today I'm surrendering my vision of how it's supposed to look. My job is to show up and take action. God's job is to work out the details.
I wrote down 10 verses on sticky notes and they're all over my desk. Repeating them over my day before I start has given my mind a break from figuring it out by myself, and brings it back to what Scripture says. That has been life changing.
Instead of measuring success with dollars, or followers, or items sold, what if we measure success on living Godly lives, building Godly children, and using our gifts to share His light in this broken world.
I named the orphan pattern honestly for the first time, the scarcity, the guilt around money. I want true abundance. Not to hoard it, to provide AND give back. That's the daughter identity I'm stepping into.
